And considering the embarrassingly high number of incarcerated in the US, this is probably a pretty legit market.

It is embarrassing how many people we have incarcerated in the us I won't argue that. I would argue that the loss of traditionally western values in population groups is partly responsible for that along with the for profit prison systems, accompanied by the glorification of crime by rap music.
