I had noticed it too, but didn't know the name for it. I knew it was a prey trait, though.

Funny thing -- Tigers have false eyes on the backs of their ears, so that a predator coming up behind them will hesitate, thinking its been spotted. This means that at some point in its history, Tigers were prey for something even bigger and nastier.

Nah, tigers were evolutionary trolling prey by absolutely not giving a flying fck as they walk past prey, while poor jannie antelope is literally shitting herself imagining she's mere moments away from being eaten.
