At the height of the insanity, I'm standing in line at CVS, maskless, and get verbally accosted by a fat Karen and her fatter male, saying, "I'm not looking to kill my family." My reply was, "Karen? Is that you, Karen?" Her reply? "No, I'm Denise." So completely stupid and clueless, I just burst out laughing. When I finally get up to the cashier, she tries to lecture me about not having a mask, with her mask on her chin. Told her I'd take her more seriously if she followed the rules with which she was tasked to enforce. I don't think she understood the actual words I used. Such an odd time with such deep repercussions.
