The DNA plasmids are used to get cells (*e. coli* in manufacturing) to produce the vax RNA (which at this step would still be RNA and not (((mRNA)))). Then they leave these plasmids in the vax and inject vaxies with SV40 and antibiotic resistance gene plasmids.
