Places like that call old people because obviously the person on the other end of the line wouldn't be calling them if it wasn't important and true. Old people are very compliant about things told to them on television and the telephone.

Nothing blows my mind more than old people dropping everything to go answer a phone call. IT MIGHT BE IMPORTANT.

Lots of them do. I had some old fuck I work with tell me how i'm going to be seeing a doctor soon because that's what you do when you get older.
