I got it between 6th and 7th grade, one year I was fine and could run forever the next year I couldn’t. That summer I had to get a tetanus booster, then stabbed myself on accident and got another one, then at the follow up they made me get another one by the time it was over and finally in my records I’d gotten 5.
It’s not debilitating for me luckily, my blood pressure doesn’t change when moving positions is the problem.
When I stand my HR goes to around 120, sitting is 90 and laying is 50-60 and sleeping is 40-50.
I played sports and served in the military etc, the running was the only hard part.
I wasn’t diagnosed until a few years ago though, so decades, nobody would believe me, even doctors always said I was dehydrated or had anxiety when it would shoot up to 230 beats standing, 200 sitting and 180 laying for a month or two.
I figured out that only happens with certain meds or when I have a kidney stone though.
I know a 20yo girl who can’t get out of bed though she got it after a major car accident.
The cardio doctor who finally diagnosed me gave me heart pills metropolol or something and I was supposed to take a 1/4. I had to stop since it would slow me HR down to 10 when laying and I’d pass out and standing was normal but my legs would ache so bad because the blood pressure didn’t change.
