I don't really understand why they are harsh on the lockdowns given that covid is mostly harmless. It is harming their economy. Even Apple has had enough of it.
Perhaps it is about seeing how much control they can get away with and nothing to do with covid after all.
The aec2 protein is so non diverse in asian populations that a more lethal strain would rip through their extremely dense cities and collapse their everything. Also it was developed as part of a racially targeted bioweapon program, like what was being done in Ukraine against Russia. They aren't taking chances even if it appears to target Western Europeans on the high end and azkenazi jews on the low end.
