Please don't buy this "wooh rsv is soaring" shit. This is rsv season ask any pediatric nurse. RSV is a paramyxovirus not a corona virus. It has been in the environment for decades and it is generally active from October -March what healthcare workers call "rsv season". It can be deadly for medically vulnerable children and babies; I've seen plenty of kids on life support because of rsv. Rare adults are affected by it.
One of the hallmarks of rsv is your nose will run like a faucet for days, I mean clear thin snot; babies otoh will demonstrate labored breathing, etc.
Testing is done via nasal swab. They've been trying to make an rsv vax since the 60's.
It's my understanding that bits of the rsv genome was used to create sars-cov2
