We do not have confirmation of integration into a cell genome from what I understand. There is a reverse transcriptase to write DNA but (if I understand correctly, and I may not) there is an additional integrase enzyme which would splice the DNA fragment into genome (like genesis - make cell copies) nuclear DNA. I behave as though it does, however. Do not inject that shit.

They could show the integration with a carcinoma cell line that brings all the enzymes needed for that process with it. Also, the cancer cells multiply fast, presenting the DNA without the protection of a nucleus. We don't know if there are real life conditions that can lead to similar results, but at least they know now where to look at in follow up studies.
