They contain DNA which is transposed into RNA to then make spikes. I heard on Darkhorse that DNA vax may not need pseudouridine replaced mRNA because the VV is able to penetrate the cell nucleus. This is not confirmation that VV vax do not result in pseudouridine replaced mRNA - I would believe either. There is pronounced synchronicity of drug design choices that would lead me to conclude DNA designs use pseudo-u unless someone shares some good analysis of this. Dark horse also mentions that pseudo-u is biologically different and likely influences the resultant protein. Pseudo-u replacement means that the RNA is not actually RNA because pseudo-u is not a valid RNA nucleotide.
