No matter what evidence or proof is presented, it will never convince the flatearthers that the world is round, nor the vaccinites that the clotshot is like playing Russian Roulette. For both, there is no cure for their delusions and fantasies.
It's not a good comparison. Skepticism of science is always healthy even if it turns out to be wrong. I find it depressing how many people believe in round (oblate spheroid) Earth without being able to prove it or suggest how it can be proved from first principles. Why certain beliefs are held is more important than what those beliefs are.
The question is how many times, and in how many ways, does the round earth need be proven?
For the Flat Earth Society, it can never be proven enough, and every way it is proven will never be convincing.
Believing the Earth is flat is stupid, but won't necessarily kill you. The clotshot, however....
