I'm not aware of any dangers specific to the smallpox vaccine, beyond the mercury, aluminum etc. that are in all vaccines. Why, have you heard any rumors about smallpox? I was lucky enough to get my smallpox shot deferred (cancelled) back when I was enlisted.
