Even if we normalize to per capita rates, the two groups are not the same. The vaccinated group is older than the average population, so we would expect them to die at higher rates. Any analysis that treats the two groups as if they were the same is worthless since the causal connection is unclear.

I wonder what happened to those people simulations that they used to do for fire safety? like you have a bunch of people milling around and X number die of smoke inhalation because the number of exits were insufficient. They should do the same thing for covid stats.

It's why experiments have control groups. You randomly split a group in two and only change one variable. Without a control group there is always reasonable doubt as to the cause of the difference between the two groups. It's why they vaxxed the control groups in the vax trials. Without a control group you can't prove the harm vaccines are doing.
