That heart damage, blood clots and heart attacks are one strong placebo effect.

Hey, my grandmother voted in the last election and she's dead!

The article is attempting to draw your attention away from those effects by enthusiastically reporting that normal reactions to injections are normal.

Many people experience swelling, redness, etc. after needles are inserted into their skin. It's how our bodies work.

symptoms affecting the entire body, such as fever

That's an interesting effect from a placebo.

Fatigue and headache, I can see because you're going to be more aware of things after your trial - but you may have experienced them already just not paid much attention to them. But fever? That seems to indicate your body is fighting something.

Sixteen percent of placebo recipients reported at least one local event, such as pain at site of injection, redness, or swelling.

That has nothing to do with placebo or actual medication, that's just a reaction to having your skin pierced and something not normally in your body placed in your body. Those should be placed in a category of "normal to injections, but noted." The article kind of talks about that but it still seems to think they're important.

This is a non-event article that's essentially shit because we all understand that many people are going to experience redness, swelling, bruising, or other minor effects from an injection because our skin is meant to keep outside shit outside. That it has to breathlessly tell us that 66% of the people reporting reactions is a smear against those that are experiencing the real 33% - clots, rashes, strange illnesses after injection, heart issues, and that pesky thing we call death.

umm didnt they destroy the control group so how would they even know?

[–] 1 pt

Because they’ve talked to science and this is what it told them.

This is what they told Mattie DeGaray. She does not appear credulous, but then again she is nuts because the Pfizer doctor said so!
