Makes sense because 78% of people in Ontario are vaccinated. If more than 78% of hospitalizations are vaccinated people, then we're on to something.

And if ~78% of the people in hospital are vaccinated, then it means the things simply don't work.

Right.

  • < 78% means it works somewhat
  • 78% means no effect
  • >78% means it's making things worse

Plus or minus a couple of percentage points doesn't tell us anything one way or the other, but if it's like 60% vaccinated in the hospital and 40% unvaccinated, that means the vaccines actually cut the chance of hospitalization by half.
