Didn't mean to imply there aren't lots of based folks in CA, but maybe I did. What's too bad is they're badly outnumbered and have very little political clout, at least at the state level. I worked there as a 'foreigner' for about 10 years, and very much hope the tide is turning, but haven't seen much of evidence of that.
