Jacobson for the millionth time was a state mandate. The first dose almost killed him and his son, he refused the second dose and was fined $5, $155.44 in today’s dollars.

When he lost the scotus case he had to pay his $5 fine and that’s it.

He didn’t get banned from society, lose his job or anything else.

The majority of the left has moved on from Jacobson and are using some 90’s case involving peyote for religious ceremonies, the plaintiffs wanted immunity from drug tests at work and being fired for testing positive.

The court ruled religious freedom didn’t pertain to illegal drugs and businesses had the discretion to fire employees who tested positive.

The problem with the lefts argument is that these individuals could still take peyote but could face consequences if caught.

No government or business was mandating employees take peyote or be fired.
