Went to a Bob Evans last night. Place was being run by 5 people. When I asked the cashier what was going on she said “fucking vax mandate”. I told her I thought it was low pay and she said no. They upped that 6 months ago. So yeah. This vax mandate seems to be contributing to the worker shortage along with shit pay.
I went to a large restaurant in august and there were only 2 groups inside and 5-6 workers all mexicans, they were out of everything and they were all mexican.
They did a lot of take out orders though, I guess white peoples around here are afraid to eat in restaurants or even work.
Where I went is in the 'burbs so all white staff. The cashier was definitely not pleased to be there and the waiter we had was the waiter for the entire restaurant. He also was the host, food deliverer and busboy. I gave the guy a decent tip because he was white. There was only maybe 10-15 people in there besides us so it did not appear too bad but this vax mandate is going to kill businesses faster than lockdowns if this shit isn't stopped soon.
Oh mine was the burbs also, the whites here won’t work for some reason. They all want to be Uber drivers.
I think takeout is the only thing keeping that restaurant alive. There was a time where you’d have to wait for a half hour for a seat and the staff was all white.
I hadn’t been there in a year so it was completely strange. I tried to order a couple of sides but 10 minutes later I was told they were out. Two take out customers flipped out because they were missing their sides when they checked their bag but had paid for them online.
The mexican doing everything I believe was skimming. He told them it would be reimbursed to their CC, the first guy left happy, when he tried that with a woman she started arguing and said, what’s my name? You don’t even know my name so how can I be reimbursed? She got louder and louder it was funny and the mexican finally gave her the refund.
The other 2 just stood around talking in Spanish and did nothing while I was there.
