There is really no downside for pharma and the politicians. You can’t sue Pfizer because of their immunity granted by Trump, I believe. And even if things get bad and people want to hold politicians liable, they will have enough money from the pharma boys to not have to worry.

While millions of people have already safely received COVID-19 vaccines, we recognize that for some, the FDA approval of a vaccine may now instill additional confidence to get vaccinated.

They're straight up telling us that the approval isn't based on science but done for political reasons--to get more people vaccinated.

The Pfizer vaccine—now called Comirnaty

They snuck in a name change as well. They don't want the vaccine name to be tied to their company name.
