That is the carbon/graphite electrode used in lithium-ion batteries. It's not graphene, but if you peel one atom thick layers off of it, it then can be called graphene. An atom thick layer of carbon floating in your blood is way worse that eating a pencil.
Well good thing for you that you've been exposed to one atom thick layers of carbon your whole life and are apparently immune to any effects it might have. Graphene isn't new and it does occur naturally just like other forms of carbon such as C50 and C60 Buckminsterfullerenes and random carbon forms from soot. So what is your concern exactly?
