The fed was never expressly given the authority to enact them, therefore it does not have authority to begin with.
It only covers Federal Employees and Federal Contractors as far as I can tell (albeit, I did not read much into it yet, so there are things I've likely missed). However, from what I have read, I believe thus far it has a fair chance of passing with a few minor adjustments after the initial dog and pony show of course, resulting in it only protecting politicians from the mandate.
I'm sure it will get 48 votes for, 52 against in a heated battle that will leave people to wonder, should I have just given more funds to Isreal for the "right" people?
