Nobody claims that the pandemic is killing everyone. The case fatality rate (CFR) varies but let's assume a CFR of 2% and that the Taliban has 75,000 members and everyone of them gets infected. Then statistically 1,500 die and 73,500 survive.
Same calculation with the population of the USA: if the population of 330,000,000 gets infected 6,600,000 die and 323,400,000 survive.

The real fatality rate is more like 0.001%. It's a big nothing burger. The Taliban just aren't pussies. That's also how they took over a country while outnumbered 8 to 1.

I think the official number is closer to %0.1 but we know that has been inflated. Doesn't matter, either way it's only a danger to people who are already dying, just like the flu that we never shut down society for.
