What's even the point of doing it if you're still going to be exposing your hair and neckline? Do they think Muslims are gonna see them and go, 'oh good they're following our customs I guess that's very respectful'?
What's the point in doing it at all? Something something cultural appropriation just for shits and giggles.
I mean I don't know the context behind the markle photos, but generally the lipservice is paid to the idea of respecting someone's rules when you're in their metaphorical house (like in a mosque or in a predominantly Muslim country). But the way Western women don the hijab it's like the worst of both worlds -- they're bending the knee and also showing the world (and especially Muslims) what kind of dumb thots they must be since they're incapable of understanding the concept of modesty even when they're trying to.
