If you don't remember the original story about this. Some fucking moron (teen) decided to cut down the very-very old tree because he's a piece of shit. Maybe when the new shoots are large enough some rope and [redacted] would be a solution.
Also, Seriously? The park ranger that noticed the shoots is named "Mr. Pickles" Really?
