Tonight we're going to party like it's 1399!

Fire hazard. Higher insurance rates.

No shit. You’re going to light up enough candles to operate a business with? And it’s a business full of intoxicated people? And a lot of what you sell is flammable?

This is a great idea!

Plus, candles are expensive, look on Amazon, wtf..

EXAMPLE: 6 candles, only 6 inches tall: $25 FUCKIN DOLLARS!

They are low carbon candles.

Assuming a single candle is about $1 and they use about 8 candles for every light they replace, we're looking at $8 each evening.

A single LED bulb consumes less than 14 watts many about 7 watts but let's assume 14. So 14 watts x 8 hours =112 watt hours or 0.112 kilowatt hours (old math).

At a $1 per kilowatt hour that LED bulb would cost about 12 cents or $0.12 each evening.

But if electricity cost $10 per kilowatt hour, then, yes, candles are less expensive.

Ummm....do they realize almost none of their electricity bill is due to lights?

Doing the dishes at the pub in just 1 day uses far more electricity that leaving every single light on, the entire week (at a restaurant, washing dishes uses a lot of electricity because there are just so many of them throughout the day).

I wish people weren't so ignorant and them made ignorant decisions like this.

Anything with a heating element, motor, or compressor is probably 99% of their electric bill.
