While you may not be particularly into bible stuffs, it seems that, it's a long held belief that this world isn't necessarily a friendly place, nor a desirable one. Rather a giant pile of literal shit, millions of years of sedimented shit, dinosaur sized shit, that's the basis of this world, at least for a big chunk of it. And then you have millions of forms of life, from bacterias to insects to mamals, eating each others alive, which is pretty high on the scale of the most gruesome way of dying, a literal perpetual war for spare parts between "biomechanical machines"... That's the very nature of this world, it's a fact. And here we are, stuck on this space rock, lost in some remote corner of a gigantic dark space we call the universe, with no real way out of it, all sentenced to death... Pretty much like death row inmates in some sort of prison ...
