I had one meter maid writing up a ticket on me when I arrived, got in my car and drove away with him chasing me (to no avail). He still processed the ticket and a call to the town's attny noting it was not served got the case dropped. Fun with parking tickets. The easiest way I found to win is to argue that the hearing on the ticket are not properly posted per my state's open meetings laws. They usually just drop the case at that point. They don't want to have to go through the hassle of publishing meeting agendas, minutes, etc. for these hearings. For USA states, most would require open meeting laws to be followed. Never paid a parking ticket.
