Anthony Williams, 32, is accused of 13 counts of attempted murder over the two incidents.
He was arrested after the incident on an LNER train which was forced to make an emergency stop in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, on November 1.
Williams, from Peterborough, was initially charged with the attempted murder of nine passengers and a member of rail staff on the LNER train from Doncaster to London’s Kings Cross.
He was also charged with the attempted murder of another passenger on a DLR train at 12.45am the same day at Pontoon Dock DLR station in Silvertown, east London.
Williams, who is on remand in prison, was meant to appear via video link at Cambridge Crown Court for an administrative hearing this morning.
