I remember growing up in the middle of San Francisco in the 1970s. We lived up on Twin Peaks and it was great. Very little crime up there and the whole area was our playground. At 5 years old my friends and I would go all over the neighborhood exploring, playing in the parks and even up in the forest. One day we went door to door selling decks of cards one friend’s parents got from gambling in Reno so we could buy ice cream. We go that ice cream. Things didn’t really start going downhill until the 1980s. And by the ‘90s things were pretty much shit. Been that way ever since. But I do remember.
I grew up here in the states, in a suburb 11 miles from the big city in the 60's. They looked just like this, except for the double decker busses, of course! 😄
