Follow the money. Donations from tobacco companies to kill vaping so they can keep making money and cities and states can keep getting that sweet cigarette tax money.

Yep. Big Tobacco and Big Government in bed together to protect their racket.

I smoked for 25+ years, tried everything to quit and vaping finally did it. And it was the flavored liquids that did it, I tried before with tobacco flavored juices and they were all so horrible it just made me want a real cigarette. This garbage about flavored liquids being marketed to kids is bullshit, adults like stuff that tastes good too. How about parents parent and instead of cities banning something that is saving lives how about they crack down on stores that sell to kids. Write legislation with teeth and offer a reward to kids to turn in shops that sell and run stings, problem will be solved quickly.

If I had a dollar for every one of my friends who said the same thing to me I'd be rich, (Until I got mugged by a culturally enriched neighbor.)

I haven't met anyone in real life that supports the ban.

Something like five kids have gotten sick. Five. FIVE.
A sixth was reported to have "the lungs of a 70-year-old" by the news outlets but what they failed to report was that he wasn't vaping flavored cartridges. He'd moved on to vaping pure THC and nicotine mixed together.

Why is nobody acknowledging that vaping has been around for years with none of these health issues?

This is why people are getting sick:

Making black market THC cartridges became easy enough to make that it became profitable.

But but but we have to ban the legally-produced and regulated flavored cartridges so we can look like we're doing something!

I've never even heard of this mix being sold. That's some shit people I know made themselves. So that comes off as user fuck up from my point of view. I wonder what my lungs are like since I used to live with a cig smoker and second hand smoke is worse than smoking. Unlike with vaping where the particles don't spread in the same fashion.

Yeah, he was mixing it himself and is all fucked up now. Of course, those advocating for a ban on vaping didn't think that was worth mentioning.

I don't know where they pulled the 95% less dangerous than tobacco from, nicotine is a very nasty poison indeed and is probably in the top 5 of addictive substances.

They like to say its an aid to giving up tobacco, if so then where are the instructions on the box or packet to show us how to give it up? The tobacco industry are lying turds of the first rank, they will lie and lie and lie until jail is staring them in the face, only then will they tell the truth. Nicotine patches are the way to give up, not vaping.

This is what happened with the inquiries on tobacco causing cancer and is just the same now with vaping. Its just another way to sell tobacco related products, get them hooked on nicotine.

This is what is getting teenagers hooked on tobacco derivatives, vaping and the stupendous lies told by big tobacco. Catch them young and they are yours for life

Here's where I think they got that idea:

Traditional smokers inhale a witch’s brew of carcinogens and carbon monoxide. Smoking accounts for 30 percent of all cancer deaths, and 18 percent of all deaths. The founder of my magazine, William F. Buckley, a longtime cigar smoker who suffered from emphysema at the end of his life and had seen too many family members and colleagues killed by smoking-related illnesses, said in one of his last columns that he’d ban cigarettes if he could.

A credible estimate is that e-cigarettes, which involve inhaling a nicotine-infused vapor rather than smoke, are about 95 percent less harmful than cigarettes.
