Minnesota’s Democrat Governor Tim Walz and the state Board of Pardons are facing national outrage after pardoning an illegal alien child predator who was convicted of repeatedly raping a 10-year-old girl and was on track to be deported.
The Minnesota Board of Pardons granted a pardon on June 10 to Tou Lue Vang, a 42-year-old Laos national, for his 2006 conviction of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.
The three-member board consists of Walz, Minnesota’s Democrat Attorney General Keith Ellison, and Chief Justice Natalie Hudson.
The board acted after receiving a recommendation from the Minnesota Clemency Review Commission.
The pardon restores Vang’s civil rights and gives him a clean criminal record for most purposes.
It may also help him challenge his deportation.
