Sorry for the direct link. I'm having issues with archiving right now.

The nation’s largest federal workers’ union has just spelled doom for Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) by demanding an end to the Democrat-led government shutdown.

The development marks a significant setback for Democrats as pressure mounts to reopen federal agencies.

The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), which represents roughly 800,000 federal workers, has now urged the Senate to pass a “clean” continuing resolution (CR).

This position aligns closely with Republicans who have pushed the same solution since the start of the shutdown.

...which represents roughly 800,000 federal workers

Why the FUCK are there 800,000 people working for the federal government?

I know. I know.

It's just insane to contemplate that number.

Because, otherwise, those 800,000 would probably be on welfare. At least now they have to get up every morning, get dressed and go somewhere and report to their government "job."

Who would win? One TDS-engorged congress, or a bunch of "little people?"

The idiots that work for the government need to shut up and realize this isn't about them. This is about the democrats in congress making a statement and trying to keep their voting bloc in place.
