From the post:

>The Internal Revenue Service furloughed nearly half of its workforce on Wednesday as part of the ongoing government shutdown. Around 40,000 employees are set to remain working as the shutdown entered its eighth day, with the majority its operations closed. Democrats and Republicans have failed to reach an agreement in their dispute over Obamacare premium tax credits, with no endgame in sight. The IRS's initial contingency plan, which provided for the first five business days of operations, stated that the department would remain open using Democrat Inflation Reduction Act funds.

Feel good story of the day. But "furlough" seems to be only a thing for the fucking government, specifically the IRS. So they can lay them off, without unemployment benefits.

Not that I care about any of those cocksuckers, but laws for thee not for me.

Ok. Let's keep the shutdown going for another 2 weeks and then get rid of the rest of them.
