Former White House chief strategist Steven K. Bannon, arguably the leader of the MAGA movement’s grassroots right wing, has confidently asserted that President Donald Trump will ultimately find a way to circumvent America’s constitutional two-term limit and seek re-election in 2028.

Bannon, host of the highly influential War Room podcast, made this controversial statement during an interview with former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo on NewsNation on Wednesday, March 19.

Although the 22nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution clearly prohibits any individual from being elected to the presidency more than twice, Bannon nonetheless asserts that Trump could potentially secure a third term.

“I’m a firm believer that President Trump will run again in 2028. I’ve already endorsed President Trump,” Bannon, the media executive, political strategist, and former investment bank, stated. . .

Morbo, you know term limits are not in the original constitution. Congress added the 22nd. Congress can change or modify it too. However ... this could be enabled by the court. Bannon is seeding that future narrative.

The 22nd amendment was passed by a bunch of butt hurt politicians after FDR was elected 4 terms and died in office. Notice they didn't rush to legislate term limits on themselves.
