There's also Social Security Disability and SSI, Supplemental Security Income. Unsure if they're the same program, but you don't have to be 62 for them. SpouseAnon got it at 36 after a work injury when worker's comp ran out.

Why do disabled get to collect social security? If money hasn't been paid in on your behalf or by yourself you should not be eligible to collect. Period.
