New York Democrats are working on a plan to deprive the Republicans of a much-needed House seat.

As Rep. Elise Stefanik takes up her role as Donald Trump’s Ambassador to the United Nations, the Republicans will lose another Congressional seat on what is already a razor-thin majority.

To try and squeeze that majority even further, New York Democrats have put forward legislation that would allow Governor Kathy Hochul to delay scheduling special elections until November.

Under current law, Hochul is required to schedule a special election within 90 days after the vacancy is declared. . .
