I haven't decided whether I think he'd be more effective in the House or Senate. I suppose he could establish a "Senate Freedom Caucus". Taking Rubio's seat in the SSCI would be big. He could show the senate some tenacious backbone. A 6 year term vs a 2 year term is another benefit.

He resigned from the current Congress session, and can not return to it. He was already re-elected to the House in this 2024 election. The new 119th(?) Congress gets sworn-in in January 2025, Gaetz can join the new Congress at that time in the new session - he did not resign from a congress that does not yet exist. Or he can be appointed Senator by Desantis. Or Trump might have a different position in mind to appoint him to. So many options!
