we may not be able to make change
Why? The landscape should look much different than that of the past 60+ years. Why wouldn't we be able to contimue making change? Trump has recess appointments for non-performing cabinet members and schedule F for rogue imbeds, declassification, all of the tools of a wartime POTUS, many unused Trump cards, Republican House, Senate, right-leaning SCOTUS and a virtual all-star cabinet, a mission and a mandate from We The People. A POTUS has never had the (((DS))) wounded and in a corner like this. Trump won't waste this opportunity. Change is coming.
History shows that reps have everything or two years, ride high, do nothing, then lose one of the houses and suddenly find a backbone. When they lose by two votes they make more money than when they have the majority.
Most politicians are in it for personal finacial gain, not for the betterment of the people.
In 2 years, riggers gonna rig and we won't get bills through, in 4 years, Trump gone and whatever wasn't locked in place is gone with it.
True, the same old model.
If the politicians are thinking long term and want to keep their seats (and still have opportunity to hold power/make money), they will support what Trump asks. They risk public exposure/humiliation by Trump and MAGA (with MSM unable to carry supporting narrative to protect them), will be offered no reelection funds AND primaried (and likely dispatched) by a Trump supported MAGA candidate, resulting in the end of their political career.
If they don't comply, Trump will politically crush them like McConnell never dreamed. I'm sure Trump has even more weapons he can apply. Trump is a clever dealmaker. He will find a way to get what he wants. Trump will have War Tme Presidential powers, he will be hard to resist.
