He was a "Never Trumper" just 2 years ago. He will indeed be the next Pence. Trump is controlled and he was forced to install Vance. "They" have accepted that Trump will win. They will sit it out for the next 4 years, sort of, maybe.
But most likely, something bad might happen and they can insert Vance. I have a bad feeling that Trump will not finish his term this time.
