The Republican pushback should be a lawsuit to force the 'fair officials' to answer the obvious question of ANY gun control law. WHY would the criminal Care if his illegal firearm that he carries and intends to shoot someone with, is Illegal? ALL the Ban does is disarm the honest citizen.
