Secret Service (USSS) Director Kimberley Cheatle has acknowledged failures at the rally for Donald Trump that led up to the assassination attempt on the 45th president, however, she is refusing to resign despite them.
During an interview with ABC News Chief Justice Correspondent Pierre Thomas, Cheatle said that the shooting was "unacceptable" and that "it's something that shouldn't happen again." Despite being in charge of the agency at the time of the event, Cheatle has said she will not be stepping down in light of the attempted assassination.

I've read and watched a lot of testimony from people in the security business, and the more I do, the more I think this was an inside job. I think that kid had help, or at a minimum, was coached by someone with experience. Strange how the FBI "can't access his phone". Yeah, sure.
What I'm really curious about is how much time elapsed between that local cop having a rifle pointed at him and the shots at el Trumpo. The shooter was in plain view. Why did no one get Trump off stage until after he took shots?
