In comments that are going viral, Boston city councilwoman Julia Mejia argued cities outside Beantown need to start taking illegal immigrants in.

“Cities and towns that have so much more resources than the city of Boston” should take them, she said, pointing to the affluent areas of Wellesley and Brookline as examples of possible locations.

I think everybody needs to start opening up their doors because this is a shared responsibility,

No it is not. Saying it is does not make it so. Denizens do not want this. These invaders are illegal. They are not supposed to be here. Send them back!

However, there's plenty of space at Obama's mansion on Martha's Vineyard.

That's pretty much what the comments and replies said.

Home should be at the top of the list.

Although, if I had my way, they would all become indentured servants of the state working off the cost to send them home plus the daily cost of feeding and storing them first. Send them to ukraine to clear minefields or the southern boarder to install minefields. Whatever bullshit insanely dangerous job has a high rate of offing them before sending them back. Make them fear coming here.

Imagine the federal bureaucracy that would crop up around putting illegals to work.
Easier just to send the all back.

That's why I would want to send them overseas first.

The thought being we have people who are caught and are sent back 6-7 times.

The issue we have to solve is this: How do you make them fear coming here without costing us more resources (like placing them into jail)? Force them to do something dangerous for a while. Shit, send them to the congo to help china mine rare earth - by breaking rocks with other rocks for all I care.

Have the National Guard fire on border-jumpers with belt-fed machine guns. That should hamper their enthusiasm significantly. Longer term, stop providing illegals with benefits paid for with tax dollars. No food, shelter, clothing, social services - nothing. Remove the incentive to come here. Even longer term, put an end to the 'anchor baby' fallacy and deport the offspring of illegals who were born here.

How about the synagogues? I hear some of them can hold WAY more people in the basement than should be able to fit.

Given a choice between opening up my door to refugees or pouring a bucket of molten steel down the councilwoman's throat, I'd start heating up the forge.
