Some do have a legitimate purpose. I think something like the CIA is important for national defense. The problem is they are so bloated and off mission they need to be blown up and reconstrutcted.
We have a military for that. The Military Intelligence Branch. They do what the CIA does and there are more checks in place. We need absolutely zero three letter agencies ran by the federal government.
I'm fine with that approach. That is how we did it prior to the CIA.
I can agree with that. Most shouldn't exist. Those which remain should be more transparent and reduced in scope and scale.
For example, the NSA should return to it's original charter which is to combat international espionage against US companies.
