If TPTB decides to arrange to put Mcarthy in as a pressure relief valve for two years to take some of the pressure off of the democrats, give the proles the illusion of some kind of "victory" so they relax, and give them some breathing space to reset, recock, and come back at us in 2024, then that is exactly what will happen.
