They will keep playing whack-a-mole with the courts knowing it takes years and millions of dollars from gun owners for their illegal laws to be stricken down. The legal costs for them are zero. You pay their legal costs, too. They also know there are no consequences for their behavior.
Once the courts start issuing preliminary injunctions against these laws they will openly defy the courts. Who's going to make them follow the law?
Nobody who understands that they have no regard for the Constitution or the role of law is surprised.
this will lead to no one following laws since the states are just picking and choosing what they want to follow. best example is immigration laws being ignored by multiple states. abortion will be a huge issue in this regard in the near future. this is what leads to divorce or conflict.
NYC was "allowed" multiple times to go against SCOTUS rulings in the last half decade. This isn't new.
She doesn't actually care about the constitution. She passed a bill a few weeks ago to Set up a police unit to combat hate speech. And another bill today so social media has to report hate speech to the state.
