Have room for a fourth group?
I'm just starting to cut spending on extra things that are nice but not really necessary. My income puts me in the top 20% of US income earners so I'm not exactly poor(definitely not wealthy either) but I have noticed my savings account stopped increasing the last few months. Meaning I'm spending way more than I used to without any sort of lifestyle change. Gas is easy to see but food is a bit more stealthy. It is now at the point that each bag of groceries, no matter what is in the bag, is going to be about $50-75. I can easily walk out with two of those small plastic bags and be out $100.

I think that puts you in the same boat as a lot of Americans. Retirement savings (and savings in general) are taking a hit because everything is so damned more expensive.
Did $83 for two tiny bags the other day.. but the Rubens were tremendous ha. Bacon is fuckin expensive as well
