Ex Parte Milligan, 71 U.S. 2 (1866)

Neither the legislature nor any executive or judicial officer may disregard the provisions of the Constitution in case of emergency.

ANYONE who declares the suspension of Constitutionally guaranteed rights (to travel freely, peacefully assemble, earn a living, freely worship, etc.) AND OR attempts to enforce such a suspension within the 50 independent, sovereign, states of the United States of America is making war against our Constitution and therefore the people.

They violate their Constitutional oath and, thus, immediately forfeit their office and authority and their proclamations may be disregarded with impunity.

You are only thinking under the umbrella of the existing "authority" and in that context your conclusions make sense. I'm focused on where the existing power derives its authority in the first place.

That's a philosophical discussion. Liberals arts may be entertaining to discuss over a few beers, but they have no real practical application.

Discussions like this are why Western Civilization towers over the rest of mankind. Being morally consistent with regards to authority is extremely practical. It's sad that you dismiss it so readily.

A society based on every individual having the legal authority to decide for himself what rules they will or will not follow is not tenable under any circumstances. It's not even a conversation worth having. It's as stupid as communism.
