They'll come up with an amazing number of ways to say "inflation was higher than wage growth," or "wage growth trails inflation," etc. It's a psychological trick. They're studiously avoiding associating negative words like "fall," "decrease" with positive words like "wages." They're pulling out every jew linguistic trick to make sure and associate positive words like "increase" and "higher" with wages. The do the opposite for words the public doesn't like, like "infaltion"; they make sure to associate negative words with them. They don't want a year of headlines that read like:
Americans' real wages fall at annualized rate of 6% in September
