im all for removing the monuments it gives more credence to my claim that slavery never happened. with no cultural relics from that time my claim gets stronger by the day

Ha. You’ve given me my “talking point” for my left wing wack-a-doodles at work. I am now pro statue removal. It is good to “erase slavery”; when we remove civil war history, slavery never happened. When that happens, there will be no excuses. “Now we should get rid of all the “Jew” statues””. (Though I’m sure a comment like that will prompt a meeting with HR)
