We all know the debt ceiling will be raised, so just go ahead and get it the fuck over.

I'm surprised they haven't gotten rid of it yet. I know, I know... they take turns using it to blame each other for the current "crisis" but at this point nobody believes it.

The only point I can see in keeping it is as a reminder to everyone that our government spends like drunken sailors. Not that it matters.

Drunken sailors get a bad rep. When they run out of money they stop spending and go back to the ship. Government just confiscates or borrows more.
